Bethlehem - Ma'an - The Israeli Supreme Court has, on Monday 7th, rejected appeals by residents of the Palestinian villages which lie to the north west of Jerusalem. The Palestinian citizens had been appealing against the building of the separation wall, which is intended to pass through their lands, confiscating 1200 dunums (one dunum = 1000 square meters).
The villages affected by this decision are: Biddu, Beit Liqya, Beit 'Anan and Beit Surik. The court based its decision on often-heard security concerns, without paying any real attention to the Palestinian appeals.
